Last month was full of fun with the Ames Public Library Friends Foundation, from our donor reception to our annual Pub Fiction fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who joined us! Both events were a wonderful reminder that every gift matters at Ames Public Library. Donor gifts make a difference in the lives of patrons who use the library and its resources.
But they can also improve the lives of our feathered friends! As you walk into the library and past the children’s area, you may notice patterns on some windows. These are collision protectors and help prevent birds from accidentally flying into the windows. Thank you to CoolVu of Des Moines, Feather Friendly, Iowa Audubon, and Wild Birds Unlimited for helping make this project possible.
And thank you to our donors, whose gifts of all sizes help make a difference at the library for people and our bird friends too!
